Parents in Lessons
If a parent feels that they need to be present during their son/daughter's lesson, they are welcome to sit in on a lesson as silent observers only. Parents who do sit in on lessons will be asked to refrain from answering for their child, unless there are special circumstances. Any parents who do sit in on lessons will be asked to take notes and/or record the lesson, so that they can reinforce (at home) the information taught during that lesson. Due to limited space, only one parent in the lesson please.
Prompt Pick-up after Lessons
Parents, please be on time to pick up your son/daughter at the end of their lesson. This is especially important if your son/daughter’s lesson is at the end of the teaching day.
Literature
The Teacher will ask that each student purchase at least 1 book to work out of per year (unless they already have a strong vocal music library). Additionally, there may be times when a student will choose to purchase extra music to supplement their library. www.musicnotes.com is a fantastic sheet music resource.
