What's the big deal? Why can't I come to lessons sick?
I go to work, school and everything else sick...why not voice lessons?
My main goal as a teacher of voice, is to be able to maximize your experience with Monitz Vocal Studio, and to get you closer to your goals. Part of that includes staying well, so that your lessons continue on a weekly basis.
Since I teach approximately 30 students a week, I have to keep my voice in top shape, so that I can provide vocal technique demonstration to my students.
If you come to lessons sick, and I catch your illness, this affects everyone - including you!
This is why I have made it easier than ever for you to maintain your weekly lesson. Click here if you want to learn more about the many ways you can keep your weekly lesson, even on days when you're under the weather but still feel like singing.
I have a few students who do not like taking online lessons, and others who ONLY do online lessons. I have students who have zero flexibility in their schedule to be on deck for another lesson time, if they have to miss. In those instances, an online lesson, mini-lesson or using a flex lesson would be best. Additionally, I have students who do not care if they occasionally miss a lesson, and prefer not to utilize their missed lessons options. They simply let me know that they will miss, and that they'll see me at the next lesson. This is perfectly fine as well.
There are many ways for you to maintain weekly, consistent lessons (even when you are sick, are traveling, etc.). Please take advantage of the flexible missed lessons policies as you wish.
The bottom line is that I aim to be the best teacher for all of you. In order to do this, I request that all of my students honor this important policy, so that everybody's lessons stay as consistent as possible. Students who come to lessons sick will be sent home.
Thank you for understanding.
